Friday, September 26th, 2008

I my humble opinion, although when spoken, the German language does not sound as beautiful as some other European languages term assurance as French or Italian, it is Tennessee Lemon Laws of the easiest European language to learn. The Audience Wants You to Be a Star

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

A recent survey impotence remedy the world’s population has shown that a startling 0 out of 6 billion people want structured settlement cash have their time wasted. I know its stunning, but the facts are the facts.

No one wants to go a terrible movie, sit still in rush hour traffic, go on a horrible date, or be bored to tears by a bad speaker. We all want to see the world’s greatest movie, breeze home with no traffic in sight, meet the man/woman of our dreams on a date, and hear the world’s best speech every time we open our ears. We want things to work out so well that we’ll tilt ourselves in the positive direction to make things seem better.

Positive Bias

Our modern day polite society is the perfect environment to sweep an audience off of its collective feet. Think about it for a minute.

If you go to the movies with any regularity then odds are you’ve seen an awful movie or hosted call center When you look up the reviews for those films you usually find yourself staring at a “3/53 rating. Why is that? best consolidation loan student It’s impolite to say the movie was terrible.

Have you ever had a performance review? If you have then you know what its like to be told in a nice politically correct fashion that you suck. You can be awful at what you do and the US spin doctor association will find a way to make it a “growth opportunity”, “point of improvement”, or “challenge” instead of just saying you’re the worst performer in your division.

These days its “impolite” to look someone in the eye and say “that was bad”. The majority of us are polite beings so we nod and go right along with the tide. I’d be willing to bet my last dollar that the people in your audience are all super polite people that would say your speech was great even if you put them into deep hibernation.

What does this mean for you as a speaker?

1. No one is ever going to call you a poor speaker to your face

2. Your presentation will be well received regardless of the quality

We operate in a polite society so your presentation is “good” no matter what you do. That’s not what we want though. We want you to leave them on the edge of their seats every time you speak.

Let’s look at 2 quick ways to give them impotence pills what they want.

Excitement

Creating excitement is the best way to be a star in your audiences eyes. Break the monotony of the daily grind and people are sure to sit up straight and pay attention!

Creating excitement is a trivial task at best and stirring up controversy is the quick and dirty way of getting it done. Howard Stern, Bill Maher, Don Imus, the late George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Carnell West, and a host of others have set the blue print. All you have to do is follow it. The recipe is simple…say something controversial with a straight face. If someone asks you what you mean say the same thing again with the same straight face.

If you’re a little too timid to get people riled up there are other ways to be exciting. Any of the following will work just fine:

* Humor

* Extreme Creativity

* Unbeatable benefits

* Mystery

* Drama

* Emotional Stories

One of my most successful and well received speeches was a self-roast. For 5 minutes I picked myself apart in third person. I told stories of how I cried every time I lost in anything as a child. I gave examples of how my stubbornness caused me to nearly break my ankle. I laughed at how I accepted a dare and stuck my foot in a pit of smoldering ashes.

When the speech was nearing its close the crowd sat on pins and needles waiting on me to reveal the subject of my roast. When I revealed that I was roasting myself they exploded in laughter. The appreciated my authenticity and creativity.

You don’t have to use that idea. Anything out of the ordinary will work just fine. Think outside the box and run with it. People want you to be exciting. The least you can do is give them what they ask for.

Be Informative

Our society is based on information. People are always looking for that extra nugget of information that will push them to the next level.

You really can’t open your eyes without being bombarded with information. Billboards pollute the sky. Commercials ruin your television experience. Your e-mail inbox is no doubt flooded with junk email selling you “secret” formulas to look better and be smarter. All of this is information. Most of it is trash.

You can stick out like swimsuit model in a plus sized store if you present solid useful information. That’s all we really want from you.

Don’t cram in too much information in an attempt to be useful. One or two well developed points are more than enough to get the job done. Anything above that usually gets lost in the abyss.

Conclusion

The audience already wants you to be a superstar. Most people are so polite these days that they’ll bend over backwards to make you feel like one. When they do you should oblige them and give them what they came for.

Show confidence and poise when you present. Stir up some controversy, say something funny, be creative, or tell your favorite tear jerker. We humans appreciate a break from the ordinary.

While you’re striving to create excitement be sure to drop in a nugget of good information. Your audience will thank you a million and one times.

There’s a 99% chance that your audience is a room full of nice men and women who want nothing more than to view an entertaining presentation with good useful information.

Play nice and give it to us.

Spiritual Secrets For Leaders As to How They Can Grow, Become Mature, and Develop Character

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

In Exodus Chapter 21, Moses has led the people of Israel out of Egypt, and now they are at Mount Sinai where the Ten Commandments have been given, and Hawaii Lemon Laws have seen how these people were to prepare themselves to hear and receive the Word of God, and that Word of God comes through a man to the people.

It has been suggested on good authority that these Chapters are probably the first part of the Bible to be written down - Chapters 19 and 21 to 24 - and yet they can be so neglected and overlooked - but when we read this section we see that it is most interesting and so very relevant.

We often hear of people discovering some ancient document and you see that they are so very pleased to read interest rate card and handle that old manuscript. When we hold the Bible in our hands it is good to take a moment and to realise that we are holding a miracle.

When a prophet comes to us with the Word of God, we always have two choices. We either receive the Word of God, and welcome the Word of God, or we reject the Word of God and stone the prophet. Of course, we always have to check that it is the Word of God! This continues right into the New Testament - every time Jesus Christ is preached and proclaimed in the power of the Holy Spirit.

This section has been called the Book of the Covenant. We are a people of the book, and that has been said a lot recently. We do not worship it, but we hold to its teaching and revelation as being authentic and reliable and authoritative.

Our faith in Jesus Christ is based upon this Book, and from the Bible we learn that our Creator God is a God Who talks, and Who has spoken to men.

Moses at first recited these Commandments and Laws - the Holy Spirit can do wonders with a man’s memory. Jesus taught us that - that the Holy Spirit would bring to the forefront of our memories what He said and taught. The Holy Spirit brings before us things we need to know and remember.

God is so concerned about so many of the details of our day by day living, and that is so clear and obvious from these pages.

He is concerned about arguments and disputes which we might have - about relationships - and God reveals how He feels about certain matters. Remember the words of the Psalmist - O how I love thy law - I meditate upon it day and night.

This law which came through Moses deals with people and property. It spoke so directly on so many issues - particularly to credit card apply community.

It refers to what has been done to a dog or to any animal that is dangerous, and these various principles can be applied today.

Every law court case depends upon this Book - “I promise to tell the truth” - and that is said on the basis of this Book - not on any other Book.

A man cannot be loyal to God without being loyal to His Word.

We cannot say - O I believe in God, but I cannot believe His Book. This is why the Bible means so much to those of us who come regularly to worship the Living God. We know and recognise just how much we depend upon this Word which can be relied upon totally.

We need to consider at times the absolute importance of the Word of God today.

Be totally committed to the written Word. The Word of God is designed to bring us closer to the God of the Word - and for us that means closer to Jesus Christ.

We make our decisions on the basis of the Word of God.

When we are building our life in Christ, we need to build on a good sound solid foundation, which no man can shake. We can build with divine material - and then we will be able and are able to withstand the storms when they come - not, if they come, but when they come.

We tirelessly read and seek to study the Word of God. Now, we may not always do these things - but we always need to be reminded of them - because, as we feed upon the Word of God, we will grow - and our faith will increase and deepen - and our character will develop.

God does not let the Word yield its secrets easily to people who are lazy. But as you allow the Word of God to dwell in you richly, there will be imperceptible growth.

The rain- the sunshine - and so many other ingredients will all contribute to the growth of the seed and the maturity of the individual. As we receive these ingredients that contribute to growth - the growing process happens - growth in grace - growth in maturity - it is a process - not a crisis - it doesn’t just suddenly happen.

If a man does not know the Word of God, he is in trouble - and when we consider the nation, if man does not know the Word of God, the nation, the community, society are all in trouble. If you know what Jesus says to us through the Word then things happen, not only is there growth and maturity, but the Word influences our behaviour and our attitudes.

Classic Car Project Nomad #1

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

With the launch of Classic Car Gurus I felt that a great way student loan consolidation comparison showcase the skills and talent of the gurus listed on the site would be to have a project car that under goes a full restoration and is documented on the web site.

Over the years I have had plenty of cars and a lot of them, had I kept them, would be classics today. This leads to the question, what sort of project car should I choose? Classic Car Gurus is an Australian website and I have no interest in doing anything with it in New Zealand or any other countries so perhaps an Australian car should be featured. I’ve had some nice European cars in the past, the Japanese cars that appeal are reliable and relatively easy to source parts for and of course there is a multitude of choice if you think American.

Rather than charge the hill and make an executive decision I felt I should canvass other people’s opinions to see what they feel should be the chosen marque. Everyone I approached had a different perspective which ultimately helped me decide what to do. All of the suggestions were good ones. Interestingly, most lent towards an Australian candidate for all the obvious reasons with badges and names like Bolwell, Monaro, XY, Charger and the like. Few suggested European with the exception of MG, E-Type and Austin Healey featuring as potential candidates. The American suggestions centered on Mustang, Camaro and a few other pony cars. The Datsun 240Z was the common pick amongst the Japanese candidates.

With so many cars to choose from ultimately it came down to a number of questions - what do you want to use it for, how much do want to spend, concourse restoration or resto-mod, how involved do you want it to be, what condition does the donor car need to be in? And the list went on. And on. With so many opinions it didn’t take me long to realise that the one opinion that counted was mine, with buy in from the wife. Having explained the vision for the project car the wife saw the big picture, gave me the go ahead and said you choose. There is a god after all.

Due diligence was in order. At this point I had a leaning to Australian or American and had pretty much qualified out the rest. The great thing about the web is you can do lots of research without leaving home. I checked out a lot of cars on eBay, CarPoint, Carsales, Trading Post online and Drive to get a feel for prices, what you got for your money and availability. Now we all know that how something may be represented online can be very different when you inspect it. I learnt this first hand when I was living in the US and bought a “restored” 67 Mustang Fastback from Oregon. The sellers definition of restored was very different to mine but because I never had it checked out I only had myself to blame.

By this time I had made a few decisions. The car was going to be “no matching numbers”, in other words non original. The intention would be to keep the classic lines but modernize the entire drive train so that it performed, handled and stopped way better than it did when it first left the factory. I wasn’t looking for a total basket case, but I wasn’t prepared to pay a premium for lots of stuff that would get jettisoned in the build. Ultimately, a usable body with minimal rust and most of the trim parts on the car would work for what I had in mind.

Restoring a car is a little like building a house - the first dollar figure you come up with normally translates as you pick up the keys into double that figure plus twenty percent. How far do you go, where do you set your limits, how long is a piece of string…… I am not going to put a budget to the project until I have a car and understand what I am up for. This normally occurs once the paint is blasted off and you get a real sense for the amount of work involved.

All the cars that would be appealing or were recommended would cost big bucks up front. Old Monaro’s, even total basket cases were outrageous money. Valiant Chargers weren’t as bad but there were not many around. Any true Aussie muscle car worth restoring is in the stratosphere and I am probably about five years too late. I remember a HK Bathurst Monaro requiring a full restoration sold at auction in the last two years for $55K and everyone thought that was outrageous. Looks like an absolute bargain now. Fords, especially GT or HO optioned cars from the late sixties and early seventies cost more than an average family dwelling and a basket case is in the range of two years salary for most people.

I inquired about a number of cars. A Bolwell in Western Australia caught my attention, I always loved these cars as a kid and you rarely see them today. It was a basket case, no drive train and missing a lot of parts but it could be the one. After lots of questions, numerous phone calls and emails I was told it had previously been registered in Victoria yet it had no VIN or chassis number attached. Potential nightmare - qualify out. A good looking, solid six cylinder HG Monaro came up on eBay with faded paint and 35+ years of wear which was a potential candidate. As the price rose with each bid, its suitability slipped further. I didn’t even see its final price but I realised at this point I need to reassess what I am doing.

Women see things differently to blokes. I don’t question it or Leprosy it much thought but I knew if I had another chat with the misses she would give me a different perspective. Her advice is normally good, and this time was no different. She said to get something I was passionate about, something I really wanted, something that would be practical as a marketing exercise for the business and something that I ultimately wanted to drive. I couldn’t argue with that.

A lot of the suggestions were for sports cars and given that I already have a two seater I felt it needed to be able to seat at least four adults in comfort. I love V8’s, there is something about them that gets me hot and bothered and whatever the project car was to be it had to handle interstate trips with lots of luggage, golf clubs and other stuff. This list just became a lot shorter.

I thought back to all the car Daybyday I had been to, what had I seen driving around on the streets or in magazines that caught my eye and what could I get passionate about for this project. One stood out in my mind. A number of years ago at a car show in San Jose I laid eyes on a finned creation resplendent with chrome and mouldings that made me look twice. It was aqua blue and I had to check it out. As is the case with most owners at car shows he was only too happy to talk about his classic and gave me the entire story of his car. It was a 1957 Chevy Nomad two door station wagon.

Being a Forgetmenots fan I had read about the origins of the Nomad which first broke cover at the General Motors Motorama in New York City in 1954. It was a concept car based on a 1953 Corvette but featured a station wagon body style. It created a huge stir, so much so that Harley Earl asked the team building full size Chevrolet’s to take the name and looks and build a Nomad wagon which first appeared as a production model in 1955. The two door variant, based on the original concept car spanned three year, 1955 to 1957. The purists feel the 1957 model was the best, incorporating fins, lots of chrome and the classic styling of 57 Chevrolet’s.

The decision was made. I was passionate about a 57 Nomad, there are not many in Australia and it would meet all of my criteria. The search is on. Until the next article.

Sticking With Some Home-buying Rules Makes Sense

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

Buying a home is a part of most people’s lives. It fits right into our finances with saving for retirement Green Berets health insurance. It is simply a part of our finances.

You Debt Matters turn to a lot of places for advice when buying a home. You can talk to a realtor, a mortgage lender or even your family. But there are some tried and true personal finance laws that fit the home-buying situation perfectly.

Rule 1: Do your homework

It used to be that you were told to learn as you go. After all, the saying says that you only learn by making mistakes. Not true. Don’t feel as if you need to just go out and jump into a home because that is what you are expected to do. Take some time and do your homework.

If you don’t have the money and the time to devote to a home, then buying is not for you. Look at your finances, job situation, family life and goals when deciding what and when you want to buy. Don’t forget that owning a home is a big deal. You will not only have monthly payments, but you will also have insurance premiums, property taxes, utilities and possibly even PMI to tack onto the cost. Renting could be a better choice for right now.

Rule 2: Buy what you need

If you buy something just to tide you over, you might find that it doesn’t last long. Advisors will tell you to buy quality and for the long term when it comes to big ticket items. Agent69 same goes for a house. Yes, buy a small starter home if that is what you want and what your finances dictate. But unless it is a roomy home at a good price, you may have to move fairly soon. And all of the commissions and closing costs could be avoided by simply buying what you need now.

Rule 3: Fixed-rate is the only way to go

I know that you may be thinking that adjustable rate mortgages have the potential to go down in interest rate. Well, they can. But what will you do if it goes up? A fixed-rate mortgage gives you the security in knowing that what your payment is today, it will be tomorrow and twenty years from now. It’s not going to go up and throw your budget in the pit. If you have extra cash, go ahead and add it to your payment and get rid of that mortgage early.

What is the perfect term? It depends on your finances. But remember, you will own your home quicker, have more equity faster and pay less interest over time if you pay off your mortgage in 15 years versus 30 years.

Rule 4: Have a backup plan

If you haven’t noticed it now, you will. Things go wrong. Often. They just do. And you will be glad you have a backup plan when you are down to your last penny. I see nothing wrong with taking out a equity line of credit and not using it. Just tuck it away for an emergency. Don’t touch it until absolutely necessary. Or better yet — forgo the temptation and make sure that you save some emergency money. You will need about three months worth of expenses for safety’s sake. But if you aren’t a good saver, your home equity will be a good backup plan.

Rule 5: Take your time

Like rule number one, you should simply take your time and have everything lined up before you jump on in. Take the time to search for a home. Look at the neighborhoods, the market and the homes that interest you. The more you know, the better you will be at negotiating. There is no big hurry. There are plenty of homes out there. Dream homes are a dime a dozen, believe me. If they weren’t, so many people wouldn’t own homes.

It all boils down to being wise in your decisions. Look at your finances, goals and needs before you consider anything else. These factors are the necessities. The rest is just nice. By using your financial sense, you will find that homeownership is a natural part of life.

How to Make College Success Easier Than Ever!

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Imagine the feeling of walking across the stage to receive your college degree. Can you feel that incredible sense of accomplishment from years of Troll Dolls and determination? Some of you may have already lived this incredible vision. However, many people believe that they aren’t capable of walking across the stage and graduating from college. This belief can cause a person to accept less industrial injury what they are truly capable of.

Now, as you continue to read the words in this article, you will begin to realize that my purpose here is to put the belief that students can succeed back where it belongs; in the minds of the students!

It is possible for anybody to graduate from college, no matter where you are at this point in your life. To get a sample of how powerful you really are, say the following statement out loud with inner injury at work like it is true. (It might be)

“I am a college graduate!” That simple sentence right there, when mixed with a strong sense of inner power, will allow you to feel as if you are a college graduate already. Wouldn’t you agree that that belief and feeling would make it easier for you to graduate once you started college? Or also even before you started?

I’m sure you know that college isn’t an easy procedure. However, with the proper preparation, it can not only be more effortless, but also more enjoyable!

From my education in the personal development field, I have found that when you have a goal and/or a vision and you give attention to that goal on a regular basis, you are much more likely to realize it. Not only that, but you are much more excited about it because you can feel it coming true as you begin to see things happening in your life that are leading you towards your goal.

You can easily develop the belief that you can really graduate from college. Not only that, but you have everything you need inside of you to make that a reality!
